Vancouver Fashion Week FW 2024 - Day 4 Fashion Illustrations

Day 4 of Vancouver Fashion Week was Thursday night, with lots of great shows and presentations. While guests arrived and settled in, I drew from the catwalk. I had a great view of the main floor and the runway.

I spotted Willow Del Rose and her partner, William, looking amazing in the front row. Because they looked stunning and I can’t stay still, naturally I drew them. And a couple of nights later I had a chance to meet them both, and they are wonderful. And did I say well dressed?

I’ve included a few highlights from shows with my various fashion sketches. I only had a few seconds per look to make a quick sketch while the runway models walked. I added colour as I could, during the breaks between shows or later that night.

Here’s a sneak peak of my sketch in progress of Emjota Studio, live runway fashion illustration. I usually like using an ink fineliner pen to capture the movement of the models, though I do love coloured pencils too. And then I love the magic of added colour to a sketch, bringing it truly to life.
